Overall Score: 71% C-

On a trip to Minneapolis, I stumbled across this small cafe in a mainly residential area. I get inside and see a diverse menu with salads, sandwiches, tamales, and BURRITOS! There were a few choices on the menu, so I opted for the Chorizo Burrito. The burrito was meh, just ok. A very small amount of chorizo was given, and off to one side. Once I realized there was no more meat, the fun was over. They do put the burrito in a sandwich press which was different. The cafe itself was very inviting and interesting. Next time I go, maybe I'll try a tamale instead.

Burrito Scare!

"Analysis determined that it was only a burrito" YES!!!

How could I NOT post this!

Come back? If I happen to be walking by and am hungry, then yes.
Hot Sauce: 2 House made sauces, rojo y verde

Final Score: 75% C

I met with a friend at Mi Charrito so we could have a quick burrito before seeing a show at The Neptune Theater, which is right across the street on 45th. The restaurant is quite small and the feeling of it matches what you might expect for a U-District hole in the wall dining experience. We ordered from the counter and took our seats. In about 3 minutes, our burritos were brought to us. They are a little on the small side and very basic. Not many ingredients to speak of; just the pork, beans, and rice. I don't have much else to say about this 'C' grade experience, but if you're hungry and walking by, give it a try?

Come back? You bet!

Final Score: 80% B-

Mama's has always been one of the best known Mexican restaurants in Seattle, and rightly so... It's prime corner location in Belltown, the multiple rooms of the restaurant with all kinds of decor, and the famed "Elvis Room" - a room devoted to the King! So of course, how could I not order a burrito named "The Elvis Presley"? While waiting for the food to arrive, I enjoyed live table-side music as I drank my Negro Modelo and munched on the delicious chips & salsa. The burrito was brought out a surprisingly short time later. This burrito had an impressive exterior, covered in cheese and very plump. The only problem with the ingredients was that the carne asada was tough, similar to the consistency of leather. I know they can do better because I've been going to Mama's for a long time without disappointment, which is why I will definitely return one fine day.

Thanks to my new and first smart phone, it will now be much easier for me to record burrito experiences for the blog. Anyway, I was out and about in Shoreline the other day, thinking about food, and I saw El Sabor out of the corner of my eye. I thought about it and 2 U-turns later I was there. It's a small and busy little place right on the almighty Aurora Avenue. They had a few different burritos to choose from, I went with the Burrito Chipotle that has the sauce on top. On the plus side, the service was fast and friendly, the burrito was cheap, big enough to not be hungry anymore, and a great selection of sauces. On the minus side, not a lot of variety inside the burrito; just meat, rice, and beans for the most part. The flavor was just ok, nothing all that special. The menu had many other non-burrito options which several other patrons seemed to order. Perhaps those dishes are something better? I don't care though, I'm only about the burritos as you all know.
